A long the great ridge over Mam Tor in the Peak district on a cold snow covered December morning in thick fog. Seeing the fence disappear in nature’s own invisibility cloak was what caught my eye as I walked along the ridgeway. Lying down on my belly in over a foot of snow was the only way I could get low enough to take this image

Many times, I’ve driven past those fields on my way to another of my local spots. On this particular day it looked fantastic with the ground lightly covered in snow and the sun about to set. I abandoned my plans and set up to capture the dark stormy clouds give way brighter skies.
