Burnham Beacon

Arriving late for a sunset at Burnham lighthouse with no time to spare. I set up my camera framed my composition and took the shot. A few seconds later and I’d have missed the lovely colours in the sky as the sun luminated the higher clouds after a short spell of rain.

Rhosilli Skies

All looked well for a good sunset image when clouds moved in from the north blocking out the sun. Not to be deterred I continued to hold still and see what unfolded. It wasn’t long before the sun found a gap in the thin clouds reflecting its light on the sea, broken only by low lying mist that had formed on the water’s surface. A flock of seagull’s flew into the frame with spilt second timing.

Black Church Rock

A towering 50m natural stone arch situated in north Devon close to the village of Clovelly, best viewed at low tide. Getting into position to take a pleasing image isn’t easy as sharp barnacled rocks formed in lines like a giant heavily ploughed field.
